Women on the High C’s: Opera and the Triumph of Women

On February 7, 7:00 PM, join us for a special concert presentation entitled Women on the High C’s: Opera and the Triumph of Women. It will be hosted by long-time Amato Opera Theatre scenic designer and director, Richard Cerullo, who will provide background and witty repartee. The concert will feature five sopranos performing semi-staged arias by Massenet, Delibes, Herbert, Moore, Thomas, Bellini and more. Tickets are $20.

On February 14, –VOICES of Love–bring your Valentine to a Gala Concert and early dinner. Dinner begins at 6:30 and the performance begins at 7:30. Tickets are $50 and include dinner/wine/champagne.

On February 21 & 22 (Saturday, 3:00 PM & Sunday 7:00 PM), David Rosenmeyer will conduct a concert of Bel Canto arias and scenes. Tickets are $20.

On Sunday, February 28, Bleecker Street Opera will sponsor an Opera Composers Forum, a lecture/concert. The audience will have the opportunity to hear some new work, and composers discuss their impetus, inspiration, motivation and background. Our featured composers have all been recently commissioned or have premiered their works. Tickets are $20.
